The rule-writing workshop, on Monday, 9/10/12, was a great collaborative effort and discussion between WAPROCA and the WA State Dept. of Health. The workshop was held at the Department of Health, in Tumwater, WA.  Betty Moe (DOH), BillieJo Dale (DOH), Tim Livingston (WAPROCA), and Amanda, an Assn't Attorney General for the department, were those in attendance.

The workshop was focused on the new legislation on suicide assessment, treatment, and management. ESHB 2366 (Engrossed Substitute House Bill) was passed earlier this year, and will go into effect on January 1, 2014. More information to come on the progress of these draft rules, training required for Certified Counselors and Certified Advisers, and a WAPROCA Q&A session scheduled for this fall.
